Vaginal Discomfort

a couple friends told me that they enjoy putting hairbrush handles up their vagina a that it feels good . I tried doing it but now my left ovaries is giving pain and I'm not sexually active is this concerning or is it just hurting because i'm not sexually active

The prickly part of hairbrushes can be irritating to the vagina.

If you are feeling continued pain please schedule an appointment with your primary care provider or at Corner Health.

I tried a tampon for the first time and it was all fine putting it in and then when it came to take it out it took an hour to pull it out then my vagina looked different then before it's like the tampon pulled something i only have a dad and I'm to scared to say anything what is this is this normal

Many young women have difficulty with tampons when they first use them.  It would not be likely that you could have pulled something or damaged or changed your vagina.  If you still have concerns, is there another trusted female adult in your life you could talk to?  Or schedule an appointment at Corner Health Center.

So I never had my period and I have had a clear/white period for a while. Now I have been having bloody discharge and it's a lot. Why? What is it? Do I have a infection?

The bloody discharge you describe is most likely your period.  It should last 3-7 days.

Often periods are irregular when they first begin,  meaning that you may have another one in 28-30 days or it not come again for a couple of months.

When my partner fingers me or when we have intercourse, i bleed, why is that, i never have before

Bleeding during intercourse could be from irritation or infection.  Please schedule an appointment at Corner Health or with your primary care provider to get this checked out.

I'm a teenage female having sex without my parents knowledge and me and my boyfriend recently had sex about 2 days after a month of not doing nothing and now I've been bleeding non stop and i know its not my period. Also ive been having a lot of discharge but I'm scared to tell my mom about anything. What should i do

There are many reasons for heavy bleeding .

For the past year, my periods have been getting increasingly heavier and more painful - so much so that I can barely move and feel as if I am going to throw up. My gynocologist said that it was normal and waved me off even though my Mother has PCOS and wanted to see if she could get me on birth control. For my last two cycles, my periods have only been a day long, extremely heavy, and painful. I'm a teenage girl and I don't have very much persuasive power - If I go to the gynocologist will I just be waved off again (& waste my parents' money) or will they actually help me this time?

There are good treatment options to decrease heavy painful periods .

I'm having a darker discharge after masturbating a couple days ago with a bottle of something. Im having some discomfort in my pelvic bone area since then too. I'm concerned about maybe having an sti or is this just my body cleaning itself

If you are concerned about possible injury in your pelvic area please schedule an appointment with your primary care provider or at Corner health center or a nearby urgent care center.

Hi, I'm 12 and am not sexually active. I recently saw something sticking out of my vaginal hole, it's half a centimetre thick and quite fleshy. I'm worried it'll get in the way when I have sex. It's a couple of centimetres long and doesn't hurt when I pull. I'm not sure how long it's been there but it might have been there for about a year. Does anyone have an idea as to what it might be? I thought it might be my hymen but it's too fleshy and it's not coming out.

It is hard to know from your description.  Your body will continue to change over the next couple of years.  If it is really bothering you, ask your parent to schedule you an appointment with your primary care provider or at Corner Health Center.

It may be helpful to try and accept things as they are now knowing that your body is changing.

If I put a finger in it feels like there's something there. It isn't a tampon it feels like muscle. It doesn't seem like a cylinder vaginal canal. I tried to scratch it with my nail and I couldn't feel anything. Is this normal anatomy or should I be worried?

It is difficult to know by what you describe.  You may even be feeling your cervix at the end of the vaginal canal.

It does not sound like anything to worry about

Hello I want to know If I should worry about this, the last 2 days I've been experiencing a super brownish vaginal discharge, even though I'm not close to my period, I'm not taking birth control or anything, I don't have any itching or symptoms for an infection, is this normal?

Brownish discharge is usually a sign of "old" blood from the uterus from previous cycle.

It is not unusual for this to occasionally happen to women.  It is from an small irregularity in hormones.

If you are sexually active and do not use condoms for protection against sexually transmitted infections, it could also be a sign of an infection

If that is a possiblity, schedule an appointment with your primary care provider or at Corner Health Center.
