"Troupe is a lot of fun. But it’s serious, too. I learn about acting. I perform a lot. I feel important because I teach others, too. Now my friends are always asking me questions."

Like to act?
If you like acting and performing for other teens Theatre Troupe is for you!

The Theatre Troupe is The Corner's outreach program.

The Troupe is made up of local high school students who meet once a week. Troupe members write and perform short plays all over Southeast Michigan. You perform on topics such as substance abuse, dating violence, STIs, HIV and teen depression.

In addition to acting, Troupe gives you the chance to make new friends and participate in fun activities after school. It also teaches you about important health issues. It looks good on a college application. Some Troupe members get community service credit. You can even earn some money!

How do I join?
We have auditions every year at area high schools. They are usually in January. We can also schedule an audition at The Corner.

Just give us a call at 734-484-3600 ext 241 or 231 and ask for Lydia or Joey.
