There are many birth control methods. It's important to choose one you like. Then you’ll be more likely to use it correctly and every time you have sex.
When you choose a method, think about:
- how well it works
- if this method is easy for you to get and use
- if this method protects you from HIV and other STIs
- if you can remember to take a pill at the same time every day
- if you can remember to use it every time you have sex
- if you will feel embarrassed about using this method
* Abstinence and condoms are the only birth control methods that can help protect you from STIs and HIV.
