"When kids come in for physicals or health concerns they are asked about risk-taking behaviors including substance abuse, sexual activity and abuse. They are asked about their lives at home, school and work. If problems are identified help is usually available on site."

  Mental Health Services

The Corner provides integrated health services, works with a team of social workers from Community Support and Treatment Services (CSTS) and psychiatrists from the University of Michigan Health System. Patients receive help with:

  • finding housing, getting food and finding other resources
  • solving conflicts with family or friends
  • coping with stress
  • managing anger
  • dealing with the challenges of taking care of a baby

Many teens feel depressed and/or anxious. Talking to a counselor, seeing a psychiatrist and getting medicine help many of our clients.

Mental health services and counseling are free to patients and are confidential.
