You and Your Baby
The You and Your Baby series are attractive, concise and simply-worded booklets. They maintain a respectful tone, yet are written at a third-grade level. The booklets use high-quality photographs of actual client families for a multicultural audience.These booklets are especially useful:
- as an educational supplement for parenting classes; zero to three early intervention, HeadStart, Even Start and infant support services programs
- to put into a gift pack for new moms when they leave the hospital or come to your maternity or pediatric clinic
- to teach parenting and child development to congitively impaired parents.
All three booklets are available in English and Spanish. In the Spanish booklets, most of the photographs are of Latino families.
A Special Relationship focuses on discipline, teaching and setting limits, while building a warm and loving relationship with infants.
Playing and Learning Together teaches parents how to promote learning and the healthy development of their babies, newborn - 18 months, through play.
The Toddler Years emphasizes that children have minds of their own and need some independence as well as a sense of security.
All three booklets are available in Spanish and English. They have the same double page format: short text, with caption and photo illustrating the main message on the adjacent page.
