What is the YLC?

The YLC is a diverse, youth-led group that stands to uphold leadership, promote change, and raise awareness about community health issues. The YLC's goals are to:

  • Research community health and safety issues;
  • Use media and the arts to advocate for change; and
  • Partner with youth, adults, and other organizations to make the Corner Health Center and its surrounding community a healthier and safer place for young people..
Why Join the YLC?

As a YLC member you will get the opportunity to take part in team-building exercises, leadership development, grant writing, community-based research, advocacy, program development and much more! YLC members receive a stipend for their participation.

Who can join?

Any young person can apply to join the Corner's YLC!

How do I join?

Currently an individual can join the YLC at any point in the year. Click here to access the YLC application. Submit this application to the YLC staff advisor. The YLC will then contact you for an interview.
