Theatre Troupe Receives Special Grant and Exclusive National Recognition

In December, the Corner received $29,965 from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Artsto support the artistic development of Theatre Troupe members and increase arts access for local youth through our Theatre Troupe Peer Education Program.
      
 
Additionally, the Theatre Troupe was one of only 50 programs from across the country to be recognized for program excellence by the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards
 
The Theatre Troupe Program provides training in theatre and health to 25 local young people who perform more than 40 health education skits to over 1,200 young people annually. To learn more about Theatre Troupe, click here.
