After five years of service to the Corner Health Center, Ellen Clement has announced her decision to retire as the agency's executive director. Ellen will step down at the end of November in order to spend more time with her family and pursue personal interests.

"Although it is difficult to leave the work and relationships that have meant so much to me for so long, my retirement is made easier because I know the Corner is in fine shape," Ellen said. "During my tenure, we have fulfilled many strategic goals and I am confident in the team of talented and passionate people who will continue to serve the mission and meet any challenges that lie ahead."

After a career in public health, Ellen was hired as the Corner's executive director in the summer of 2009. Under her leadership, the Corner transitioned to the use of electronic health records, expanded its mental health services, received recognition as a patient-centered medical home, and increased youth engagement within the organization.

Ellen will remain at the helm of the Corner until the end of year. The Corner's Board of Directors will soon announce the hire of Ellen's replacement.
