The Corner's Community Health Educator presents at a Mental Health Matters event

The Corner’s Community Health Educator, Jaz Brennan, participated in an all-day mental health awareness event called Mental Health Matters. The presentation took place at Mills Creek Middle School in Dexter with their 7th and 8th graders. The presenters spoke about the realities of mental health, benefits of building a wellness mindset and challenging kids to remember that being human doesn’t mean happy all the time. It is important to balance our lives so that we feel fulfilled in multiple areas.

The Theatre Troupe peer educators perform skits on mental health and other tough topics.  They look forward to performing their skits peer to peer at future similar events.
